Local Day Tours From Cape Town

Winelands Tour In the vicinity of the Cape there are 12 wine regions, each imparting distinctive characteristics to the wine due to the climatic and soil conditions. Spend a day in the winelands area of your choice and sample some of the magnificent wines of the region.

As example of what to expect, here is an outline if a tour to the Boland region. We depart the hotel and visit two wine estates in the morning, the historical towns of Paarl and Franschhoek before driving to a restaurant of choice on one of the wine estates for lunch. In the afternoon we visit the picturesque town of Stellenbosch before returning to the hotel


Peninsula Tour (1 day) We depart from the hotel and travel to Hout Bay via the scenic drive along the Western Seaboard passing through Sea Point, Camps Bay and Llandudno. From Hout Bay we travel via the renowned Chapman's Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at the south-western extremity of the African Continent. We travel to historical Simon's Town along the False Bay coast before returning to the hotel via the famous Groot Constantia Estate or Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Optional stops include Kalk Bay, Naval Museum Simon's Town and Admiralty House, time permitting.


Township Tour (1/2 Day) Visit the townships of Cape Town for an insight in the vibrant township life. The tour includes a visit the main market, a shebeen (local bar), a guest house and one of the Non Governmental organisations working in the area.


Historical Cape Town (1/2 day) We start from the hotel and visit the Castle of Good Hope, District Six Museum, City Hall and Grand Parade. From there we drive to the top of the Company Gardens and visit the Houses of Parliament, Company Gardens and Slave Lodge. A short drive takes us th the Malay Quarter in the Bo-Kaap where we visit the Bo-Kaap Museum. The tour would not be complete without a trip up Table Mountain by the cable car, weather permitting of course.


Cape Town by Night Depart Hotel and drive to Signal Hill or Bloubergstrand for the magnificent view of Cape Town by night. Dine at restaurant of your choice in the Greater Cape area and return to hotel. The tour guide can assist in selection of the restaurant.
