Western & Eastern Cape Tours

Frontier Tour-East London to Port Elizabeth (4 days 3 nights) We first drive north to enjoy the magnificent beaches of the Wild Coast north of East London. We visit a Xhosa village and experience the tribal customs of the Xhosa Nation. From there we move inland to visit Hogsback, high up in the Amatola Mountains where it is said you may encounter the Hobbit and we savour the tranquillity of the village. The route back to the coast takes us past the frontier towns where 9 frontier wars were fought between the Xhosa Nation and the British Colonial Forces.

This tour can be combined with the Garden Route Tour mentioned below to make for a truly unique experience.


Garden Route Tour between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town (5 days 4 nights) Enjoy the many attractions of the famous Garden Route. Visit the coastal towns of Port Elizabeth, Mossel Bay, Plettenberg Bay, Wildeness,Hermanus and Knysna. Attractions include visits to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, Knysna Forest, Diaz Museum, and Addo Elephant Park. You can also bungee jump off the Bloukrans Bridge (You may also only observe if you wish to!) Visit Oudtshoorn in the heart of the Klein Karoo and marvel at the wonders of the Cango Caves. Visit an ostrich farm for the unique experience of riding an ostrich! The tour can be started at Port Elizabeth or Cape Town.


Garden Route tour Circular (5 days 4 nights) We depart from Cape Town taking the R44 inland route through the Klein Karoo to Knysna visiting Montagu, Calitzdorp and Oudtshoorn. Return via the coastal route visiting Wilderness, Mossel Bay, Albertinia and Hermanus. This trip is very flexible and we plan the stopovers to suit the client.


Western Cape Safari and Wine Tour (4 days 3 nights) Depart Cape Town and travel through the magnificent Hex River Valley, stopping at the wine estates to sample the splendid wines of the region. Overnight at one of the Wine Estates in the area. Continue the next day to one of the Western Cape Game Lodges. Do dusk and dawn game drives and use the rest of the time to relax at the lodge. Return to the Cape via Mossel Bay and Hermanus.


Overberg Tour (2 days 1 night) This is a short tour taking you to the southern tip of Africa were the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. We depart the hotel and drive along the coast through Hermanus, Stanford and Gansbaai before turning inland to pass through Baardskeerdersbos and the historic Mission Station of Elim to reach Cape Agulhas at the southern tip of Africa. Overnight at Elim, Arniston or Cape Agulhas. Visit the historic town of Arniston before returning via Bredasdorp and Napier.


West Coast (3 days 2 nights) Visit the West Coast for its unique atmosphere and cuisine. We visit the towns of Tulbagh, Darling, Langebaan, Lamberts Bay and Paternoster including a visit to the historical lighthouse at Cape Columbine. Enjoy a seafood feast or traditional West Coast cuisine at one of the open air restaurants.
